Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is explore the semiotics of the of Journalistic image of Al Quds Intifada as reflected in the daily Palestinian Newspapers .Such an investigation is carried out within the context of the issues discussed and the style used to highlight these issues.

Furthermore, the study attempted to probe the effectiveness of this journalistic images in reflecting the cultural, the social and the political Palestinian reality.

This descriptive study has used the field survey method which is conducted by using the approaches of content analysis, mutual interrelations, and discourse analysis.

For this purpose the content analysis card was used whereas, thee tools used for the discourse analysis, mainly focused on analyzing discourse dynamics, context, and related images.

The two researches took Al Hayaa Al Jadeeda Palestinian daily newspaper as a case study in the period between 4 /10 / 2015 and 3 / 12 / 2015, the total issues were 60.

The study revealed among the Intifada issues, confrontations with Israel soldiers came first; this followed by martyred funerals.

Pertaining discourse analysis results revealed that Al Haya Al Jadeeda newspaper focused on the positive personality aspects of the Palestinian officials.

Yes, in Palestine newspapers, the focus varied between positive and negative aspects.

The percentage of martyr stories was high in both newspaper.

In addition, the results revealed that both newspapers reflected deep understanding of the context of the Israeli aggressions Palestinian civilians.

As for the image explicit significance, Kofia came first, this was followed by the Palestinian flag.

As for implicit image significance reveled high percentage of the victim image compared to the percentage of the Israeli killings of the Palestinians.
