This era of the history of Iraq and its relations with Britain, especially after the end of the First World War witnessed the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the division of its property between the victorious Allies in the war by holding treaties and agreements to divide the Fertile Crescent.

The issuance of the Balfour Declaration met with anger of the Arabs and popular indignation.

The Muslim community in London emphasized on the importance of Jerusalem in the eyes of Muslims as a holy land, which is not less than the Holiness of Mecca and Medina.

It was injustice to put the Holy of Holies in Islam under Jewish control.
