Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to highlight poetic evidences in the interpretation of “Al-Bahr Al-Muheet” by AbuHayyan of Andalusia on the Sourat Elenaam .

The study also aims to investigate the grammatical and linguistic aspects contained in these poetic evidences; such aspects are essential features for establishing Arabic grammatical rules and research openers of different studies on poetic evidences.

The study is significant because this book has received great attention from Arab scholars as it contains grammatical opinions that illustrate grammar, many grammar evidences quoted by the author had enriched the book with scientific matter, and that the book had assembled grammatical issues with reference to previous scholars as Sibweih, Ibn Jinni, IbnOgail, and others.

The study is limited to investigate the poetic evidences in the book of “Al-Bahr Al-Muheet” which is considered one of the most important phases of Arabic grammar; namely, the phase of collection and coordination.The study followed a descriptive analytical approach beside the historical method to trace the opinions of grammarians; thus, some of the facts about grammatical evidences were revealed as stated in their respective books.

These evidences are located in openings of poems, obscure words and the explanations of their categories as well as the accumulated additions of many generations in the area
