Arabic Abstract

استهدفت الدراسة البحث توجهات مزارعي الخضروات نحو الاستعداد لتبني الزراعة المائية "دراسة ميدانية في مدينة الجميل - ليبيا"، و هدفت الدراسة قياس درجة معرفتهم بالزراعة المائية، و مدى توفر مصادر معلومات يعتمد عليها المزارع، بالإضافة لتوجهات المزارعين نحو الزراعة المائية.

تم توزيع الاستبيان على 46 بنسبة 92% من المجتمع المدروس و استخدام الاحصاء و الوصفي و التحليلي لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، كالمتوسطات و الانحرافات المعيارية، بالإضافة إلى التكرارات و النسب المئوية، و استخدام معامل بيرسون لمعرفة العلاقة الارتباطية بين المتغيرات المستقلة الكمية و النوعية للمزارعين، و بعض المتغيرات البحثية التابعة.

كما تم استخدام اختبار (Chi-Square) لتحديد ما إذا كانت هناك فروق معنوية بين المتغيرات المستقلة و المتغير التابع.

أشارت النتائج أن المزارعين امتلكوا معرفة متوسطة بالزراعة المائية بمتوسط 3.71 درجة.

كما اشارت أن متوسط توفر قاعدة بيانات للمزارعين بلغت 2.67 درجة، إضافة الى أن توجه المزارعين نحو الزراعة المائية كان متوسطا بدرجة مقدارها 3.30، في حين كان المتوسط العام لدرجة الصعوبات 3.68 درجة.

وأظهرت النتائج ان المتوسط العام لمستوى مشاركة المزارعين في الأنشطة الإرشادية المُعدَّة من قبل الوحدة الإرشادية بلغ 1.79 درجة، بوجــود علاقات ارتباطيّة معنوية بين المتغيّرات المستقلة الكمية المدروسة، و مستوى تبني المزارعين للزراعة المائية عند مستوى معنويّة 0.01 و0.05.

و بناء على النتائج، أوصت الدراسة بتفعيل خدمات الارشاد الزراعي الحكومي و تقديم الدعم المالي لتحفيز المزارعين لتقبل الزراعة المائية.

English Abstract

The main goal of this research work was to assess perceptions of vegetable growers towards their readiness to adopt hydroponics in Al Jmail, Libya.

The study aimed at measuring the degree of knowledge about hydroponics by vegetable growers, availability of reliable sources of information, and farmers' perceptions toward hydroponics.

A field study was conducted, where a questionnaire was distributed to the study population of 50 farmers in the city of Al Jmail in Libya.

Forty-six farmers responded to the questionnaire, or, 92% of the studied population.

The descriptive and analytical statistics were used to achieve the objectives of the study, such as averages and standard deviations, in addition to the frequency and percentages, and the use of Pearson's coefficient to determine the correlation between the quantitative and qualitative independent variables of farmers and some related research variables.

The chi-square test was also used to determine whether there were significant differences between independent and dependent variables.

The results indicated that the farmers had average knowledge of hydroponic system at an average of 3.71 degrees.

The average availability of farmers' database was 2.67 degrees.

In addition, the farmers' orientation toward hydroponics was 3.30, while the overall mean was 3.68.

The results showed that the overall average level of farmers' participation in the extension activities provided by the extension units was 1.79, with significant correlation between the quantitative independent variables studied and the level of farmers' adoption of hydroponics at a level of 0.01 and 0.05.

Based on the results, the study recommended activating government extension services and providing financial support to encourage farmers to accept and adopt hydroponics system in agriculture.
