Abstract EN

The present paper is concerned with the topics addressed by Ibn Abdin in his commentary on Al-Durr.

which he explained thoroughly to find out what exactly they are especially when there are divergent signs.

The aim is to find the relationship between these issues and the new and contemporary legal rulings which scholars have dealt with especially those which do not have a text that refers the minor issue to the major one through the Book of Fasting.

The paper deals with Ibn Abdin, his Commentary Book, and the collection of issues which Ibn Abdin has dealt with in his Book of Fasting.

These issues are classified according to their topics, such as the sighting of the crescent, the beginning of Ramadan, and the issues related to medical treatment and its impact on fasting and the relatedness to new contemporary issues.

These treatments include those which go through the digestive system, the respiratory tract, and the pudendum of both the male and the female.
