Abstract EN

Comprehensive study of the divan of Ka'b bin Zuhayr prove that the image of poetic metonymy is unique in this divan.

It has distinct connotations, and specific mechanisms.

The implications of this metonymy are six, primarily: the premonitory on bone ability, the discerning reader, express chaste, hyperbole, encryption coverage and veneration.

Also its mechanisms are four: imagination, a single word, designing sentence and incarnation .
