Abstract EN

This study deal with the subject of drama costumes in Sudan (1990_2007) on application over two TV drama serials; ALliwa Alabyad and Amir ALsharg, structure consists of two Central theme.

The first one deals with costumes in terms of concept and upbringing and the importance and significance in the drama and take advantage of those concepts in laying the foundations for how to design and the selection of costumes in the drama.

The second traces the costumes design in the Sudanese historical drama along with help of ready-made costumes and Explains the impact on drama art work.

The research found that costumes design in a drama based on a correct interpretation of the written text is gives the characters dimension persuasive presence and performance.

The appearance of dramaticall characters is formed from physical, psychological and social reality according to contemporary or historical events.

The researcher recommended the need for attention to costumes in Sudanese drama.

And not be used ready-made costumes that can not be modified, except in the case of suitability for the characters and the time and place of the dramatic work environment.
