Abstract EN

The Study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a program based on computer games on developing visual attention for children.

The study sample consisted of (500) students (200 males-300 females), in the age of group (11-12 years).

They were students form Sixth grade primary school at Assiut city who were selected randomly.

The researcher prepared some tools represented in electronic visual attention tests that included, orientation test, continuous performance test, executive control test, prepared program based on computer games.

Also the researcher used Ravin's intelligence test which was standardized by Ahmed Othman S.

Tantawy in a sample of 7500 that represent the Egyptian society.

The study tools were standardized on a pilot study in a sample of 210 students who were selected in the same as the study group.

The experimental design composed of two groups: control group that contained (30) students (16 males- 14 females) and experimental one that has the same numbers of males and females.

To verity the validity of assumptions, the researcher used number of statistical method such as: the Alpha Kronbaeh" for stability testing and T-test.

The study has conduct to the following results that: there are statistically significant differences in the mean scores of the experimental group on the pre- and post- test in the visual attention tests favoring that of the post testing .Also, there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the control group and experimental one on the visual attention tests favoring that of experimental group.

In addition.

the results of the study revealed that there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group on the visual attention tests in the direct post-testing and the follov^-up testing, but there are significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group on the Reaction -response time in continuous performance test model (AP) and executive control test favoring that of follow-up testing.

The researcher interpreted the results of the study through quantitative and theoretical framework.
