English Abstract

The main objective of this research is to classify the aspects which has an impact on the decision taken by the population in order to implement substitute energy solutions in Jordan.

And in order to accomplish the aim of this research, a descriptive analytical technique has been implemented, which is considered as one of the furthermost suitable research approaches for the current research.

For collecting the needed data; a questionnaire was designed so as to achieve the aim of the research.

The sample population chosen for this research were selected randomly and comprised of 185 individual among the Jordanian society.

The main outcomes of this study are as the following: the high and medium arithmetic averages came within the axis on the population of alternative energy information, alternative energy is broadly applied in all economic fields in Jordan, there has been changes in the funding of alternative energy projects, there is also a lack of infrastructure in the field of buildings, generations, transmission as well as distribution of alternative energy, in addition, the result indicated that there is a growth in the costs of non-renewable resources, moreover; the results have shown that there are no statistical significant differences in regards with the aspects affecting the decision taken by the population in adopting alternative energy solutions in Jordan owing to the geographical area in which they reside, age, housing status, type of housing, family income in Jordanian dinars as well as their educational level.

The conclusion of this research suggests that there’s a necessity to raise awareness of alternative energy, it’s impact, significance as well as benefits, to adopt alternative energy solutions, finance related projects in Jordan as economically, environmentally acceptable, restructuring the base needed for the application of alternative energy resources, improving as well as broadening the electricity grid, connecting those grids with neighboring countries in order to utilize the excess of energy generated, there’s also a necessity to enhance techniques for storing energy from renewable resources through allocating modern, affordable storage devices, in addition to prioritizing the application of renewable energy, solar energy, wind energy, underground energy, bioenergy as well as hydropower.
