Is the end and ultimate goal of any work or direction in life and can not be a work or direction is true if it has no purpose so emerged the urgent need to highlight the very methods of research in Islamic history, it includes everything that ends the work of historians, The goal may be directed, that is, according to facts, facts and facts away from tendencies, trends and beliefs, and the target may be positive or may be negative, The goal may be positive or negative, and this definition of the term helps the historical research method to put the historical provisions in the right.

This study may take a new look at this title.

It requires a lot of reflection in the words of the former historians.

We reach the very methods that they have followed to serve the history and serve their development and reach the desired to avoid mistakes and to have a clear vision.

The objectives of studying such aspects and their knowledge of comprehensive knowledge are the real purpose of the advancement of the human present and the clarity of the horizons of the future.

The title came from the conventional definition of the curriculum which is: the clear and straight path that reaches its goal easily and easily, and an attempt to answer some of the questions, why the historians differed in their curricula? Is it due to the different orientations, ie, each one has his own revelation (eg religious orientation or worldly orientation)? Or is it for different purposes, that is, each one has a specific purpose (such as objective objective proof or negation or self-interest or others)? Or the difference of personality, intellectual and psychological? Or the difference of relations and affiliations and loyalties that have a great impact in the formation of historical incidents.

? It is worth mentioning that the survey and extrapolation and analysis are the most important tools of the study methodology of the historical research methods to reach the desired and rely on multiple sources.

This study, entitled "The Purpose of the Historical Research Methodology at Al-Tabari and Ibn Khaldun", is divided into three topics.

The first topic is the definition of the meanings of the research terms, then we divided it into two requirements.

The second is the objective of the historical research method at al-Tabari.

Ibn Khaldun's historical research approach, followed by recommendations and conclusion.
