Abstract EN

This paper has reviewed a number of Arabic and English books that were written about the geography of Iraq, especially books in the modern era.

A collection of books that dealt with various aspects of Iraq, both natural and human was one of the research results.

Additionally, it turned out that some geographical books dealt with the natural geographical aspect only, while other books dealt only with the human geographical aspect.

Moreover, other books found to be as a combination of the natural and human geography of Iraq.

It was also found that the purpose of writing these books, especially Arabic books, is for educational purposes.

As for the geographical sources written by foreign researchers, the aim was for military purposes.
