Abstract EN

The aim of the study is to determine this phenomena as well as forms of abuse victims are exposed to.

The study also throws spotlight on the distribution of victims by gender and area.

Study also aims to identify family members who are more vulnerable to violence and those who are more likely to commit violence.

The study sums up with numerous findings, major among them is that Riyadh City was the area with most cases of domestic violence and abuse acts; female family members were the most vulnerable to domestic violence; domestic violence was frequently committed by husbands.

Findings also have shown that physical abuse coupled with psychological one was the most recurrent form of abuse within families
