English Abstract

The food crisis does not lie in the rise of its world prices, but in the lack of food or using pressure on countries through the imposition of an economic embargo on them.

So, it is necessary to adopt a strategy to achieve food security in all countries.

Food security is one of the priorities of Tunisia's stability.

Ensuring the people’s need for food in an era characterized by political unrest is not only necessary, but a basic prerequisite for achieving national security.

In order to improve its food security, which witnessed a relative decline after the Arab spring wave, Tunisia needs to eliminate political unrest on the one hand and attention to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector on the other.

The aim of the study is to analyze the concept of Tunisia's food security and to explore the impact of political unrest (Arab spring) and urban violence in Tunisia's food security.

The study found that the political change that took place in Tunisia's internal political environment had a clear impact on its food security due to the lack of attention to agricultural production, the state's attempt to control the political events in order to restore security and the increasing frequency of urban violence.

Poor living standards and a high unemployment rate also play a prominent role.
