English Abstract

Climatology is an applied science which rarely finds a competitor in its close relationship with human life and its various aspects of activity.

It is one of the main factors influencing the life activities of different living organisms.

It enables researchers to understand and interpret various biological phenomena after understanding their surroundings.

, Which act as a protective environment for the environment from the risk of degradation and pollution, and then it has maintained normal life.

The purpose of this study is to determine the number of days of the summer and winter seasons, as well as the four climates and each climate station in the study area, using the thermometer based on the monthly temperature records of the stations of the study area.

The importance of this application facilitates the precise practical identification of seasons and climatic seasons.

By determining the beginning and end of seasons and climatic seasons and the number of days of each.

The study area occupies Iraq's borders, which extend between longitudes (45, 45 and 48 km) east, and two latitudes (29, 29 and 29) to the north and south-west Asia in the north-eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula.

The researcher used six climate monitoring stations in the country namely Mosul, Baiji, Haditha, Al-Rutba, Najaf and Basrah.

The research reached the following: 1.

2 - The number of days of the summer season takes an increase at the expense of the number of days of the winter season, as we progress towards the southern stations of the study area, and for the benefit of the summer season with a limit of (21) days at the Basra station, while the reverse for the winter season season for summer (11) A day at the Mosul station.

3-The beginning of the summer season in Mosul and Basra respectively, on (29/5, 15/5), as for the end of the summer, it will be in the station Mosul and Basra respectively on (20/9, 27/9) and the number of days This chapter in Mosul and Basrah Station (115, 136).

4-Winter is longer as we progress towards the northern stations of the study area, and the number of days in the Mosul station and Basra, respectively (125, 117) days.

5-The number of days of the spring season at the Mosul station is more than the number of days of the Basra station (11) days.

6 - The number of days of autumn in Mosul and Basra station, respectively (54, 52) days.
