Abstract EN

This research tackles two main aspects: the first is the theoretical pivot that serves to observe the interaction of the chanting and listening in the reception of ancient Arab poem and the related concepts and terms.

The other pivot is an applied one where the researcher attempts to meditate the image of chanting of Al-Harith ben Hiliza Al- Yashkri and its linguistic counterparts, which contributed to drawing a successful picture of the chanting of poems.

The study used an approach which combines two perspectives: the analytic descriptive and the applied methodologies, based on the reading of the ancient chanting.

The researcher found that chanting had a great effect on the construction of the ancient text and the formation of the artistic repertoire to achieve the purposes of chanting and the effect on listeners, and delivering the poetic message to them.
