This study tackles the conflict over the Kingdom of Murcia and its effect on the relationship between the Kingdoms of Aragon and Castile during the reign of James II of Aragon.
It sheds light on the campaigns of James II against Murcia in the period (1295- 1302 AD).
It also analyses a number of treaties between the two conflicting parties، such as the Treaty of Torrellas (1304 AD/ 704 H) and the Treaty of Elche (1305 AD/ 704 H).
One of the most important findings of this study is the peaceful solution to the conflict between the two kingdoms via diplomatic means which resulted in their alliance to invade the Kingdom of Granada and divide it between Aragon and Castile.
