Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the physical measurements of the students of the Faculty of Physical Education recorded for the course of theories training and teaching of gymnastics and chirography rhythm and its association with the level of skill performance of some gymnastics skills.

The descriptive approach was used in the survey method.

The study sample consisted of (39) female students of the Faculty of Physical Education in the course of theories training and teaching of gymnastics and chirography rhythm.

The results of the study showed that the overall average of the skill level of the students of the Faculty of Physical Education in the course of theories training and teaching of gymnastics and chirography rhythm (13.37) came at an average level.

And the correlation coefficients between the level of skill performance in gymnastics and weight and chest circumference were negative, indicating that weight gain and the breadth of the chest circumference negatively affect the performance of skills.

The effect of other physical measures (height, arm length, leg length, trunk circumference, abdominal circumference, and hip width) was positive for skill performance.

The researcher recommended the need to consider physical standards when teaching gymnastics skills and conduct further studies on other physical and physiological measurements.

Reconsidering in acceptance of female students in the Faculty of Physical Education by testing physical abilities and physical measurements and not through the Office of the unified acceptance coordination.
