Abstract EN

The results of the archaeological excavations showed us many works of art that show that human beings practiced various kinds of decorative arts throughout the different ages.

Some of them included types of pottery vessels, which were used in decorating various decorative elements carried out in symbolic and expressive forms.

Their study helped to identify the historical gradation of the stages of artistic development and to clarify the symbolic meanings and contents of these elements Related to human life.

The research sheds light on some of the symbolic manifestations of the most prominent types of decorations used in the decoration of pottery vessels during the halaf period (4500 BC) in Mesopotamia.
