This study aimed to verify the One-dimensional Aassumption under Item Response Theory, Using Exploratory Factor Analysis Versus Confirmatory Factor Analysis.

To achieve this aim, the concept of One-dimensional assumption was defined, and its importance, and the consequences resulting from its violation, were illustrated.
