Abstract EN

This study gains its importance due to the contemporary calls for the revival of Theology (Ilm Al-kãlam) by prominent scholars.

Besides, the renewable need for Theologians’ researches that raises important questions about the most appropriate methods to revive this kind of science nowadays.

Within this context, this paper proposes an assessment of the points of view of two eminent Arab scientists; Alfarabi and Tawhidi.

The importance of their attitudes lies in the fact that both of them consider the general methodology of Theology from the outside, and from different positions, namely because the former was a critical philosopher, and the latter was a literary philosopher.
