Abstract EN

The present research aims at studying the sociological aspect of language which is considered as a branch of linguistics known as sociolinguistics.

So, in his book entitled “Albayan wa Ettabyine”, the author EL Djahidh discusses the subject of linguistic phenomena such as the different kinds of dialects, the various accents used by individuals in the community, the relationship between the classical Arabic and dialects, and the social disparity and its relation with language.

This emphasizes clearly that his linguistic thinking paved the way towards many sociolinguistic studies.

His books also dealt with diverse linguistic issues; all of which refer to the scientific and objective analysis of the human language.

Furthermore, the linguistic analysis of EL Djahidh actually brought significant scientific theories which share plenty of linguistic matters with those which have recently been reached by specialists in the modern sociolinguistics.
