Abstract EN

This research studied the subject (the prophetical revelation) – that is one of the firm facts in our religion – from an Islamic point of view in the beginning of the research.

It also studied the doubts mentioned by the orientalists about it and what impact it has on modern thought.

I reached some conclusions from the study and the most important of them are: 1) That the prophetical revelation – from an Islamic point of view – is a firm fact with both intellectual and textual evidences and it has certain distinctive features that characterize it.

2) The prophetical revelation – from en orientalist point of view – differs from the Islamic point of view and it denies that the revelation came to the prophet from outside of himself.

3) The orientalists used different kinds of methods to deal with the phenomenon of revelation; the most famous of them are the method of psychoanalysis.

4) The orientalists explained the phenomenon of revelation with different kinds of explanations that lead to many doubts; the most famous of them are psychological and illness doubts.

5) Some modern Arab thinkers accepted these false claims and interpretations and spread them by saying it was new and modern explanation, which made it even more dangerous.
