The Object of geographers and travelers is the description of towns and the analysis of the economic and social methods of life through theirs writings.

They have presented portraits from general life of the Central Maghreb and particularly the town of Melliana offering rich information of this town.

« The town of Melliana in the books of Arabic geography and travel » is a very important topic because these authors collected different texts that touch directly the general life of inhabitant of Melliana .

according to these texts, we find that Melliana ,during the middle age, is among the important towns of Central Maghreb, and this town is very rich naturally and economically as it contains various agricultural harvests and produce industrials.
