Abstract EN
The present study aims at highlighting the role of social intelligence of current leaders in enhancing the quality of the production of the staff of the sectors and administrations of the public authority for applied education in Kuwait through exploring the staff’s opinions regarding the most important qualities of intelligent leaders of management and sectors and the social skills and abilities which they have and which are considered the pillars of social intelligence.
To achieve the research objectives, the researchers developed a questionnaire consisting of three major sections.
The first section includes general data.
The second section has two axes consisting of 30 close-ended questions on 5-point rating scale.
The first axis dealt with the effect of the behaviors of successful leaders on the enhancement of the quality of the production of the staff of the sectors and administrations of the Public authority for applied education in Kuwait.
The second axis dealt with the effect of successful leaders’ social intelligence on the enhancement of the quality of the production of the staff of the sectors and administrations of the public authority for applied education in Kuwait.
Statistical manipulations were performed and the validity and reliability of the research tool were established.
The tool was administered to 150 subjects from different categories of the staff of the public authority for applied education in Kuwait.
94.6% of the subjects responded to the questionnaire.
The results of the study indicated that: 1) The subjects see that successful management is that which is capable of adapting to work conditions and circumstances and is based on mutual respect and feeling for the suffering if the staff of the institution.
However, they require management to be transparent, frank, open and able to confess mistakes if it commits any.
2) Current management has all the elements of social intelligence that are required to enhance the quality of work and overcome difficulties if there are any.
3) There are no statistically differences in T-value (p<0.05) for the variables of gender and academic qualifications, and in F-value (p<0.05) for the variables of age and years of experience.
Factor analysis showed that the most important factors of successful intelligent management are as follows: 1) Human relationships.
2) Cognitive and skill efficacies of management.
3) Good cultural and scientific knowledge of the latest global developments in the field of management.
4) Cooperation and exchange of experience with related outside institutions.
In the light of these results, the researchers provided suggestions and recommendations that would encourage the enhancement of the quality of the production of the staff of the sectors and administrations of the Public authority for applied education in Kuwait.
