Abstract EN

The research paper discusses the claim that there is a logical relation between Islam and secularism, i.e.

there is a relation that derives from the mind that entitles such concurrence.

This claim was discussed via the approach of Dr.

Adel Dhaher in his book “The Philosophical Foundations of Secularism” where he tried in it to collect all the arguments that can prove the logical relation between Islam and secularism.

The paper has first discussed the logical and central fallacies that created the claimed concurrence and then explained the arguments which have been used by Dr.

Daher and evaluate them.

The claim of relation originally relies on the logical relation, i.e.

the relations of issues and explanations are only attributed to logical rather than Islamic or social evidence.

In fact, the religious text was resorted to accidentally rather than authentically.

Two kind of methods have been used in this paper, analytical and critical.
