Abstract EN

This study focuses in its entirety on the linguistic study based on the semantic fields in an attempt to uncover some vague features in the text.

This was done was done to trace the lexical fields of the vocabulary, then consider the salient features of these words and try to find a relationship between these fields, and the implications of this relationship in order to understand the target text, i.e.

Al-Tughra'ee's Laamiyyat al Ajam.

The study was divided into two parts; the first part deals with the semantic fields, and it has been studied all of the assets field and abstract field and event field.

The second part covers the semantic diversity, such as synonymy, antonymy and homonymy.

Semantic significance has been identified in each field and the implications marginal and central features of selectivity in every connotation were determined.

A number of conclusions were drawn from dictionaries and semantic fields, for example: the reliance of the poet on the central semantic meaning more than marginal semantics, and frequency of the third person on the speaker and listener in the events field, and the absence of words on the animal of birds, reptiles and insects fields.

In addition, there was a frequent use of the words for camels.

The poet was of the nature of the peace, and that the movement consumed his thinking during the writing of the poem.

Him being a wanderlust and in constant serach for ways of salvation, which was adopted in his lexical choices, was the presence whatever was the marginalization of some of them a sign of the deteriorating psychological case of the poet AlTughrai then.

The poem is a rich material for the study of lexical choices, due to the attention of the poet for its vocabulary.

This rhythm-based poem is an indication of its litarary reverence and appreciation.
