Abstract EN

The goals of this study are to identify the degree of homesickness among the Omani and Malaysian Students and the relationship between some socio-demographic variables (sex, nationality, marital status, scientific degree, academic year, accumulative score) and homesickness at Mutah University.

To achieve these goals, social survey research through personal interview is used to collect the data (163 male and female students) and the descriptive statistics (percentage), Chi-Square and Contingency Coefficient are used to analyze the data.

The descriptive analysis of the data revealed that there is a homesickness among those students.

Also, the results of Chi-square and Contingency Coefficient analysis revealed that there is a statistical association between some of the independent variables and the homesickness as dependent variable.
