Abstract EN

The movement of young Algerians is one of the main movements in the history of the Algerian struggle.

It led the political struggle movement and turned the confrontation with the French occupation from an armed confrontation to confrontation through dialogue and the demand for rights and reforms.

The young Algerians realized that the French occupation became an irreversible reality, especially after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in its European wars and the fall of the Arab countries in the hands of foreign hegemony.

So they demanded to improve the situation of Algerians and give them more rights, especially after there was an Algerian elite educated and graduated from French schools and institutes, they knew the French culture due to their collision with the French elites.

In their struggle, they adopted new means and tools that never before used before in Algeria , such as the press and the establishment of cultural and sports associations.

The young Algerians appeared at the same time youth movements spread in many Arab countries to indicate a new intellectual elite whose members were enriched with European culture and were influenced by Western civilization.

Their concern was to level the Arab peoples to the same level as European peoples through intellectual renaissance freed from the shackles of backwardness through education Spreading knowledge and participating in managing through the various elected councils
