Abstract EN

It is no secret what the famines of the negative impact on the aspects of the individual life and group in any society, and varies the power of influence and recurrence from region to region depending on the geographical conditions, and where to Mecca mountainous area surrounded by mountains on all sides severe heat, scarce water and transplantation, resources are not static, it has impact on repeat for such famines from time to time in the intermittent.

In this research tried to follow the famines that occurred in Mecca during the era incident of the year 232- 656 AH / 845 -1257, it touched in the beginning to the famine in the Koran and then to the definition of famine language and idiomatically then talked about the reasons that led to the occurrence and reported some results and the negative effects it has left.
