جهود الخلفاء العباسيين واتباعهم في خدمة طرق الحج العراقية وتطويرها 132-656 ه 749-1258 م

Abstract EN

Since their taking authority in (132 AH - 749 AD), the Abbasid caliphs cared about securing roads and providing comfort and well-being ways for pilgrims, passersby, and passengers to land of Hijaz, especially the roads that connect between Iraq and Islamic eastern countries.

They made tremendous and different efforts in order to serve passengers and passersby of these roads.

The successors, followers, sultans, princes, rulers, leaders, and nobles participated in these efforts and projects for memorizing these immortal achievement and winning reward.

The Iraqi pilgrims’ roads were divided into two parts: the Kaffiyeh pilgrims’ roads and Basri pilgrims’ roads.

So, will talk about establishments, repairing, and reforms regarding these roads that contribute in comfort and well-being of passengers and passersby of these roads.

I divided this research into: an introduction, abstract, three topics, conclusion, results, indices, maps, and a list of sources and references.

I the abstract, I discussed briefly about houses of Iraqi pilgrims’ roads, the first topic includes achievements of Abbasid successors.

The second topic includes efforts of followers, sultans, princes, rulers, ministers, leaders, nobles and etc.

The third topic discusses role of women including developmental projects for pilgrims’ roads, in the conclusion, I mentioned the most important results that were obtained in my study, then, I listed some references and explanatory maps.

Finally, I introduced a list of references and sources.
