Abstract EN

This research paper aimed at showing and projecting the importance of Prince Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz' visit to Italy and France in the Year 1351 A.H/1932 B.C as written in the documents of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These documents provided us with new insights of the prince’ visit to those countries.

This paper was important as it tried to show the political role played by the prince at that time when he was assigned by the King of Najd and Hejaz regions and their annexed areas.

The prince was responsible for the foreign affairs file for the purpose of establishing good and well balanced international relations with the European countries.

Though the real purpose of the visit was to look for a loan so the King of Najd and Hejaz could overcome the financial problem that affected his country as a result of the international financial crisis of that time, there was also another purpose for the visit and that was to open and expand the diplomatic communication channels with most of the European countries.

This study gains its importance when we look at it in its historical context.
