Abstract EN

The problem of the research lies in identifying the new trends in the news credibility researches and studiesin the digital age in terms of the research interest and the used methodology through survey of the scientific literature in the Arab and Foreign countries which is published in scientific and peer-reviewed journals during the study period (2012- 2017).Providing an entire conclusion of the most prominent outputs of the news credibility in the digital age related researches andstudies and the conclusions of the recent media researches and studiesin this concern.

The goals of the study are as follows.

Comparing the research trends and the theoretical and methodological frameworks of the Arab and Foreign studies of the news credibility in the digital media age.

the use of “ Meta-Analysis” method through which the findings are interpreted in a comprehensive and deeper manner due to the use of the qualitative analysis method.

The total number of studies is 140, out of which are 36Arab studies and The total number of foreign studies is 104 The fields of research interests, theoretical and methodological frameworks and informational and applied additions focused on the following axes: 1.

Studies which linked between the news credibility and that of the mass media.

2.

Studies which focused on comparing the extent of the news credibility in the new and traditional mass media.

3.

Studies which focused on measuring the news credibility at the times of conflicts.

4.

Studies which linked the news credibility with the interaction, setting of the public agenda and traditional mass media.
