In this research, the concept of the heritage building was reviewed and some problems that help in its ruin and disappearance were identified.

The heritage buildings in Aleppo were selected as a field for this subject, especially model of the Zanki buildings.

This period is of importance in the city of Aleppo in terms of scarcity of these buildings Construction Engineering.Heritage buildings in general suffer from several problems (natural causes - human causes), which we tried to review through the field visit to these buildings and provide an accurate description of the problems that increase day by day.

After conducting the historical and engineering study on these era, suggestions and solutions were presented that may help save these buildings from the clutches of loss and oblivion
