Abstract EN

Many international conventions and national legislations have been conceded to ensure a specific status for children, taking into account their critical age, their lack of experience and cognizance.

One of the challenging and perilous issues facing the humanity is child labour; therefore, a lot of regulations have been passed due to the increasing number of the working children.

Children are forced to go to the workplace at a very young age to feed and support their families instead of being cared of or protected.

The latter, however, will impair kids physically and psychologically.

In this regards, lotsof international organizations and conventions approved the idea of protecting the working children.

Hence, loads of regulations were adopted as general guidelines to adjust and standardize the legal protections of working children all over the world.

Likewise Algeria has given a huge importance to the issue of child labour and has espoused numerous provisions and measures aiming at protecting working children taking into account their age and their living conditions in order to meet the needs of the society vis-à-vis their abilities, aptitudes and skills.

The latter, however, requiresfurther heightened attention with a specific awareness for protecting this category.
