There is no doubt that the solid waste is the main sources of pollution in the cities because of the environmental problems and direct impact on the public health of the city's population as well as the negative impact on the beauty of cities, and because the generation of solid waste is a continuous process so the task of disposal and treatment is one of the urgent tasks that require urgent Heavy efforts and huge costs.

It is no secret that the problem of solid waste pollution is limited to developing countries because developed countries have made great strides in the process of collection and treatment and used the mechanisms of sustainable development until these wastes are used as raw materials in industry.

This research aims to shed light on solid waste disposal services in the city of Hit, which suffers from the problem of inefficiency, both in terms of collection and transport or methods of disposal of these wastes, and to try to provide appropriate policies to achieve sustainable development of this service.

The researchers concluded that the city suffers from a deficit in waste disposal services, collection, transport and treatment, and the possibility of adopting appropriate policies that can achieve sustainable development in the disposal and use of waste in energy production.
