Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate the applicability of good governance in the Jordanian higher education institutions, from the viewpoint of its Administrative Staff, Case Yarmouk University.

The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach, where the study population consisted of (105) members.

The study sample consisted of (30) members, who were selected by simple stratified random sample and by (29%) of its population.

A questionnaire consist of (30) paragraph, was used to collect the data, which was verified its validity and stability.

The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze its data.

The most important results: 1) Good Governance applied in Jordanian higher education institutions, with moderately level and nearest to high level of application.

2) There are statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members on the application of governance, depending on sex, and for the benefit of females.

There are also significant differences, depending on the scientific qualification, and the benefit of PHD.

No statistically significant differences, depending on years of experience.

The researcher recommended: 1) Leaders and Managers of institutions of higher education (Universities) must focus raising the level of application of good governance.

2) Work on broadcast the culture of Governance in Universities.

3) Focus on strategic planning in all activities of Universities.
