of Arabic Language drentesars@gmail.com Abstract This research focuses on the role of the ancient Arabs in the Phonetic and phonemic studies, throughout the book: "Thimar A1-Sina'a" by Al-Jalees Al-Nahwy (490 A.H), the research starts out by defining the writer's biography, his books and methodologies, and showing related and unrelated various lingual issues explained under two sections, Phonetic and phonemic.As for the methodologies followed in this study included descriptional analytic methods that were used in detecting the Phonetic and phonemic issues.This research concluded the following results, including limiting five phonetic issues that were distributed between grammars and phonemic sections.
