The Qatari economy is one of the Gulf economies that rely on the oil and gas resources of the GDP.

Since 1995, economic policies in Qatar have adopted economic diversification as one of the developmental goals, in addition to achieving advanced levels of human development and raising the competitiveness of the Qatari economy.

To achieve the research objective of discussing the economic policies in the State of Qatar and the reality of structural diversification and the prospect of the future and for the purpose of proving the hypothesis of research based on achieving structural diversification during the study period, the research was divided into seven axes, The Qatari economy should achieve a degree of economic diversification in diversifying the structure of output, diversifying the budget revenues and diversifying the structure of exports.

However, this diversification is still below the required level, and a greater level of economic diversification must be achieved, while advanced levels of human development and competitiveness are achieved.

The Qatari economy is a group of challenges to achieve economic diversification, including the conditions of instability in the Gulf region and low prices of gas and oil as a source of funding diversification process and the weakness of the private sector.
