Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the impact of psychological and social factors that reveal drug abuse and its relationship with religious commitment.

The researcher use the descriptive method on a sample of students from the Faculty of education in Sudan university of Science&Technolgy.

The sample consisted of( 100) male and female students: (50) males and (50) females.

Their Ages ranged between( 18-30) Data was collected through a questionnaire prepared by Nazar Al-Salh and others (2005).

Collected data was processed by the SPSS, using descriptive and statistical techniques such as arithmetical mean, standard deviation, alpha Korpnach, , T- Test for independent sample, and coefficient correlation.

The most important findings include: There are statistically significant differences in the research sample`s view between the psychosocial and social factors that are attributed of drug use when classifying the sample on the basis of gender among students of College of Education.

There is strong statistical propositional correlation between the variable of psychological factors and the level of religious commitment .

There are statistical correlation between the social ideas and belefsregarding the use of drug among students of College of Education.

There is strong statistical propositional correlation between psychological and social factors that are attributed to use of drug and the level of religious commitment .

Finally, the researcher recommends necessity of deploying programmes of awareness raising regarding drug hazards and the importance of in fighting drug abuse
