Abstract EN

The study aimed to measure the IQ, using the descriptive correlation method, the Standard Progressive Matrices and a form (demographical variables), applied to a stratified random sample (5921) (8-18)years.

Analyzed by(SPSS) ( T-test, Tukey test, (Anova),Pearson, Spearman correlations).

The general trait was average , the gifted were (5.5%) and the average IQ ( British norm) was (80.0) the standard deviation(25.4) and ( Sudanese norm) was(101.8) , (23.9).There were no statistical significant differences in intelligence between male and female.

There were statistical significant differences in intelligence between basic and secondary students infavour of secondary , between rural and urban infavour of urban , due to the state ,and (gender , residence ,educational level and state ), and due to age and gender..

The results were interpreted, discussed and there were suggestions , recommendations (restudying after 10 and 30 years to examine Flynn Effect)
