in order to achieve the objectives of the study have been using the descriptive approach , and the study population consisted of all middle school students in the Department of Educational Baghdad's Karkh second , totaling ( 84,446 ) students , they were selected the same cluster of schools in a deliberate , The total sample size (4324) students , representing (5.12 %) of the overall community , and prepared the researchers a test to measure the level of environmental awareness among students , was done with honesty and reliability of the test, it has been applied to study in the academic year 2014/2015 m .

The study concluded, including: the low level of environmental awareness among middle school students in Baghdad's Karkh Directorate of Education in general , as the results showed , There were statistically significant differences (0,05 ≥ α) in the level of environmental consciousness to the variable of gender in favor of females , and the results showed a statistically significant difference (0,05 ≥ α) in the level of environmental awareness for the variable grade and in favor of the third row , and the most prominent recommendations when planning a study of school curricula must take into account the content of the curriculum so that deal with environmental concepts in line with the needs of individuals and society in the current era of the development of environmental awareness to have
