The purpose of this study is to address the problem of the mood of the discourse within the limits of its different manifestations and variations, so that the narrator's discourse can be presented on the one hand and the letter of the characters employed in the narrative text on the other, and within these interactions arises the relationship between those who see and who speak.

So the nature of the novel is determined if it is a polyphonic novel or a monophonic one.

There is no doubt that the nature of the use of the language of discourse has other dimensions that stem from what is ideological and can not be merely a narrative technique.

And this is what will be revealed through a narrative text, that is the novel entitled "Love in the Forbidden Areas" by the Algerian writer Djilali Khallas
