Constant changes are inherent in economic activity while imbalances and fluctuations are an integral part of this activity.

Moreover, a continuity character prevails over all these changes and periods of prosperity and expansion followed by periods of deflation, sometimes strong, characterize the imbalances and fluctuations, and can even reach the degree of economic recession.

these periods are called economic cycles, and are in fact an inseparable phenomenon of capitalist economic activity characterized by the difficult mastery of macroeconomic changes exposed to fluctuations due to shocks in aggregate supply or aggregate demand.

These cycles are reflected by relevant indicators such as oil consumption, the growth rate of GDP, as well as by the volume of jobs, the general level of prices and the dynamics of the financial circle.

All these factors have many consequences especially unemployment and inflation, The state intervenes through several mechanisms to control the negative consequences of economic cycles, the main one is the monetary policy, and this through the application of expansionist or deflationary policies.

But there are others who see economic cycles as essential mechanisms that allow the economy to regenerate itself automatically.

Thus, they ask the state not to interfere to regulate the consequences of economic cycles.
