Abstract EN

This study seeks to measure the impact of governance and the institutional climate on the flow of foreign direct investment towards Algeria during the period 1996-2015.

and we have used the foreign direct investment as dependent variable, and the independent variables were represented in some indicators of governance and institutional environment namely economic freedom, property rights, political stability, regulatory quality and control of corruption.

The results showed that most of these indicators are statistically significant since there is a positive correlation between the index of economic freedom, property rights, political stability and foreign direct investment flows to Algeria, while there is a negative correlation relationship between the index of the quality of regulatory quality and the flows of this investment , and for the control of corruption, the results showed that there was no link between FDI and Algeria.
