The Dictionary of Countries " by Yaqoot ALhamawy is Considered one of the most important Scientific encyclopedia which is Composed in the 7th century A.H.

This dictionary includes different information cpncerning geography, history, literature, and linguistics.

For this reason, it is an important reference for many researchers.

Thus, the researcher has selected to study the historical Novel of this dictionary.

The historical data is charaterised by its comprehensiveness and variabity,as Yaqoot never leaves aspace without reference when talking about the geography of one location to refere to the history of that area.

The historical Novel comes directly after the definition of an area linguistically.

It is a geographical historical dictionary.

The study is limited to the name of Yaqoot, his birth place, date, family, and his death date.

It is also concerned about the state of Almurabiteen through his book " The Dictionary of countries"
