Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the extent of grammatical errors among students as well as their ability to apply the rule of Arabic grammar.

The study also aims to highlight the role of the mother tongue in the linguistic error.

The researcher followed analytical descriptive approach to describe the linguistic phenomena.

The researcher conducted a test consisting of two parts, the first section, multiple choice questions, and the second section, essay questions.

The results of the study showed that grammatical errors in the rules and the application and the mother tongue played a role in the linguistic error because its order and structure differed from the Arabic, furthermore, some expressions also make overlap in their thinking because of their mother tongue.

The study revealed some recommendations to handle these errors
