Abstract EN

The objective of tins study was to identify' the psychological and social adjustment of a sample of people with physically disabilities in the state of South Darfur.

Nyala city.

And identify differences in the psychological and social adjustment of people with physically disabilities and some variables (gender, degree of disability, education) .The researcher used the descriptive analytical method.

The actual sample consisted of (400) physically disabled.

To investigate the objectives of this study, the researcher used the measure of psychological and social adjustment.

To analyze the data, the researcher used the statistical packages of educational sciences SPSS to extract the frequencies, arithmetic averages and percentages.

And Pearson's (correlation coefficient).

(T) And analysis of mono-variance, the study reached the following results: The physically disabled in the state of South Darfur.

Nyala city, is characterized by high degree of psychological adjustment.

The existence of differences of statistical significance for the physically disabled in the state of South Darfur Nyala city in the level of social consensus according to gender variable in favor of males.

And secondary- and university levels in favor of the secondary- level.

There are no statistically significant differences among the physically disabled in the state of South Darfur.

Nyala city In the level of social adjustment according to the gender of disability' variable and according to the variable of education between the basic and secondary' in favor of the basis.

And secondary' and university- in favor of the secondary'.

The most important recommendations should be to utilize and activate programs to maintain psychological and social adjustment and to help people with physically disabilities to perform their duties better.
