Abstract EN
The research aimed to identify the differences between the players in some sporting activities (basketball, football, handball, and karate) in emotional response and competitive behavior, and to identify the differences between the players according to the patterns of cerebral dominance and emotional control and competitive behavior, and to identify the relationship between cerebral dominance and emotional response and competitive behavior among a sample search individuals, the researcher used descriptive research approach, the research sample consisted of (125) athletes representing sports activities and researcher used cerebral dominance scale, emotional response scale, and the competitive behavior scale, the research results were; existence of differences between the sample in emotional response and the competitive behavior, and there are differences between the patterns of cerebral dominance and the dimensions of emotional response scale and the lack of significant differences between the patterns of cerebral dominance and the dimensions of competitive behavior scale, a correlation significant positive relationship between the degrees of cerebral dominance scale and all dimensions of the emotional response scale, there is a correlation significant positive relationship between the grades of cerebral dominance and positive competitive behavior, there is a correlation significant negative relationship between the grades of cerebral dominance and negative competitive behavior among the research sample, the researcher recommends that; the necessity of taking into account the pattern of prevailing cerebral dominance when creating training programs during the training season and in the selection of players for sports activities or to participate in the competition, And holding training courses and workshops for players and coaches in order to train them to make optimal use of the brain and how to use sports activities to achieve this.
