This research aimed to develop an evaluation card for teaching competencies for fourth grade students (education section) in basketball teaching methods syllabus as per total quality academic standards, through classifying quality standards in education sector in light of competencies field, determining required competencies for student/teacher in basketball teaching methods syllabus in light of total quality standards, administering the evaluation card to recognize student/teacher performance level of teaching competencies for basketball teaching methods syllabus in light of total quality standards.
Researcher used descriptive approach as it suits research nature.
Research pilot sample consisted of (20) fourth grade students (education section) in the academic year 2011/2012, while the main study sample were (86) fourth grade students (education section) in the academic year 2012/2013.
Within most important results that student/teacher required teaching competencies for basketball teaching methods syllabus in light of total quality standards are (cognitive – performance – emotional – productive) competencies.
Most important recommendation were: Conducting comparative studies about developing an evaluation card for teaching competencies for fourth grade students (education section) in basketball teaching methods syllabus as per total quality standards for other programs in the faculty, and using the standardized card resulted from this research in evaluating teaching competencies for basketball teaching methods syllabus at year end.
