Abstract EN

The present research aimed at studying Eis scale of emotional intelligence on Egyptian environment .

The scale was applied on a sample of (281) male and female athletes participating in specialized course for faculties of physical education at Egyptian universities organized by faculty of physical education – Minia university from 1/2/2015 to 3/2/2015 as much as (186) male alhletes, (90) female athletes in athetics table tennis, handball , basketball and football (pentathlon) sports.

Then the researcher data and processed them statistically to extract the scientific coefficients of the scale, six factors of the emotional intelligence scale were extracted the most important results indicated that: - The scale is a valid and reliable instrument and appropriate for Egyptian environment.

- Increasing the level of emotional intelligence for male and femal athletes.

- There are differences between female athletes in some factors of the scale.

The most important recommendations were : - A warning the importance of emotional intelligence .

- Preparing activities and trainings that help on developing emotional intelligence.

- Conducting further studies of emotional intelligence in sport and it's relation with some variables.
